I'll grant you that 'hateful' is hyperbolic but the effect on the broad scale is the same. You cast questions like that one as harmless when in fact they aren't. Thus, it's fair to characterize them as harmful. They are on the wrong side of the 'stochastic terrorism' continuum. I am confident that you can choose to cast questions that are more likely to lead to acceptance (that's a step better than tolerance) of LGBTQ.

I think own biggest issue with the Trans / non-binary thing is you don't just get to declare what you are. Pick a side a stick to it. We don't get to just declare we're married in order to get the benefits of marriage, you actually have to put some minimal effort into it to get the legal docu that confers those rights. I also don't get the "right" to just declare myself a halfrican-American or a Native Indian in order to get preferential treatment on jobs, school and welfare.

Conversely, dudes that wake up one day and decide they're a chick should not get to decide what sports team they are going to play on or what bathroom they get to use. If you want to run on the HS girls varsity track team, then go all in and get your junk chopped off to show your commitment to your belief that you're a woman. And even then, with hormone treatments.... chicks with dicks still have a structural advantage in body frame and mass over biological women.

Look, let me be clear here...... If a biological guy or gal here want to "play pretend" as the opposite gender/sex/whatever TF you want to call it and they truly believe they are a man or woman deep down inside..... more power to them. I don't think they should be discriminated against nor persecuted for their choice anymore than L&G's should. However, I draw the line at when their "rights" trample on others rights. I think a biological female should be allowed to compete against other biological females in areas where is it an accepted scientific fact that males have a physiological advantage over females, such as in certain athletics and other areas where physiology makes a difference. Biological males should not be competing against females because biology DOES make a difference. Especially when it comes to scholarships, endorsements, corporate sponsorship, etc. If trans want to play in sports so damn bad, then form a trans only sports league and have a nut (pun intended). Imagine Usain Bolt coming out of retirement and declaring he was now a woman and wanted to compete as a woman in the 100m. You don't think even with hormone shots, he wouldn't crush all the women's world records? Of course that's an extreme example. But that is where this shit is headed eventually.
