But all the yard signs say "Thank You Ron DeSantis for Keeping Florida Free"...they couldn't be wrong, could they?
I have fun with the good old boys at the biker bar for weekend breakfast. When they start talking about freedom and keeping Florida free, I ask something like “hey, does anyone else still have a clenched cinnamon ring from that morning when the Marshals stormed in to close the place down for violating the Guv’s shutdown order?” Blank stares ensue.

Mumbling crazy man, I have no idea what you’re referring to.

The citizens of Florida, if a parent wants to teach dysfunctional behaviors at home there is nothing to stop them , have at it , just don’t force it upon the mainstream
It's ok to teach dysfunctional fairy tales, Santa Claus, Angels, Indians eating with puritans on a special day. magic words in a telephone booth so you can go to some wonderland.
But don't teach kids what the real world is? with real people
What age did you stop believing in Santa Claus, around twenty?
according to who? freedumb.

Twisted gibberish
If you are going to make examples or analogy’s make sure that both sides are correct and applicable in order to make a accurate representation

Florida has not “banned “ any books.
Simply took age and subject inappropriate curriculum out of the classroom.
Removing books from a library or classroom removes an educational opportunity. There are many options for restricting access to books. It can be addressed on a person by person and student by student basis.

Demanding a school remove the books because certain special interest is a severe problem unless you agree with that particular special interest. Should satanists be able to have any book with Christianity in it removed? Should gay community members be able to demand that books that hint at straight relationships be removed?

You fall back on the idea of age appropriateness. Yet, if you have children, you realize that term is worthless since each child is so completely different as to be uncategorizable. There is no 'normal' family structure. That's a myth too - as any family can tell you.

You can call it banning, or call it whatever you like. The term we use is unimportant. The concept, the idea, that we are restricting this information from an entire population of people because of a special interest group should absolutely horrify you.

But it doesn't because you support the particular "censorship" that's going on.

I think you should try to recognize that.

I see it in the same light as prayer in school

That makes no sense.

We don't allow teacher directed prayer. We allow the bible in the library.

The former is a method of indoctrination. The latter is a source of education.

Knowing what the bible says doesn't create an issue. It strains credulity if you believe a child is going to go out and kill someone because they read the whole 'eye for an eye' thing. Much like they aren't going to suddenly turn gay, or have sex, or turn into a Nazi by reading it in the library either.

You see it incorrectly if you believe books in a library is the same as a person in power directing children in prayer.

I suspect your simply forgot to add any text of your own here for context. If you need help finding an appropriate facilty your local ER can usually recommend one, but make sure that your insurance considers it in-network or you may get a nasty surprise come billing time.

What document protects people from folks reacting to racist speech?

If you want to cite the Constitution, you must first recite the first 5 words of the 1st Amendment.
Is that the one that starts "You have the right to remain silent"

You have the right to lie your friggin ass off, but if you choose to do so, you don’t have the right to not have someone tell you that your parents raised a lying piece of shit. Boo Hoo. Fuck your feelings, bullshitters.
