The 1A protects our right to speak, that is absolute. if you say something, you own it. if you said it, you are responsible for what those words do. maybe the NYP knew they were selling lies?
That speech right is in fact not absolute, and other media outlets have corroborated the NYP story.

"A comprehensive report about the ongoing federal probe into Hunter Biden’s tax filings published by the New York Times on Wednesday night confirmed the existence of the first son’s infamous laptop."

Confirming the existence
is weaksauce. Not sure what the Post's claims were, but they were clearly more than that a laptop existed. That's beside the point, which is your assertion that Twitter blocked the Post for unseemly and perhaps illegal political reasons. The link I provided above shows that the FEC says Twitter's reason was a business matter.

The point is that the FEC said Twitter was not violating election law by preventing the Post from linking to their article.

Hunter clearly was in a rough patch. I read an analysis of the laptop's contents and it said it had been repeatedly written to and organized after it was not in his possession. Bring on the investigation into whether or not the laptop contains damning information about President Biden. If he's shown to be a crook, so be it. I'm thinking he's not a crook.

He might.
Funny thing, one of the accusations hurled at Joe Biden is "he's been in politics forever! He's never had a REAL job!" the first part of which is true, and having dabbled very minimally in local politics I can assure you that it is a real job.

But anyway, during all that time, Joe has had pretty much zero scandal. The worst accusation I can recall is the Xerox Joe thing about his claim to be a valedictorian at Harvard, or something like that. Basically letting his mouth run away with him in front of fans, a flaw he still indulges in somewhat.

It isn’t like me to use a term to make decent people feel less so. That’s what happens when I post without careful thought, I say something like “tranny” that could unintentionally hurt someone. Sorry if I swept you up in that net, Dog.
I feel that if people are looking to be offended, they will find a reason no matter how careful you are. And there are a LOT of snowflakes out there looking to be offended.

I don’t give a shit about the faux outrage of bullshitters like Dog or Malarkey, who look for an angle on their enemy which can be exploited. I just don’t make a practice of making references that make demean people for issues out of their control. A compulsive liar? That’s a character trait that can be changed, no matter how deeply mommy and daddy taught little precious to pick up the family bullshitting trait. Gender dysphoria? Not so much.

We used to have a poster here that actually complained about the names parents gave to their children.....claimed the kids would be accepted by society more if they weren't named 'Shaquandra' and/or other ethnic sounding names. What a snowflake THAT guy was.

Yeah that guy would be a real snowflake if there was actual "complaining" involved. I recall it was more stating a fact that handicapping kids with ridiculous made up names would put up barriers to them. How many "Shaquandras" do you know who are CEO's, Senators, Army 4-star Generals, and other leaders of note?

And ethnic names? LOL. I've spent a fair amount of time living around the world and most recently in Africa just before the Covid pandemic hit. In all my dealings with the locals - I swear I don't recall ever running across a Shaquanda, a Shaniqua, or a Chaquille. Parents are free to name their kid anything they want. But anyone that says that every silly baby name is totally neutral in society with no ramifications is fooling themselves.

Do you think these names are memorable enough to want to hire them? https://closeronline.co.uk/family/news/worst-baby-names-confirmed-reddit/

I suppose for a shift leader at McDonald's.... sure.

Just saying

Bingo. If only people from other walks of life would act in a way that makes me and 'my people' comfortable, the world would be a better place.
They just need to fit in better.
