I was at the pew pew range the other day and a MAGAT (with Trump truck and stickers to match) got chatty with me and brought up trans people!? Because I belong to a gun club the instant assumption is that I'm an R. I can definitely fit in with a MAGA militia if I had to!

I kid you not, here was his MAGA take: The gov't shouldn't care what goes on in a private citizens bedroom BUT we must stop trans people. The Dems are trying to chemically induce kids to become trans to reduce population in an effort to effect elections... I don't get it but he seemed convinced!

High trans suicides rates have to do with making decision when they were too young abetted by their parents, which of course is basic child abuse, then realizing later in life their penis is now a vagina and they want their penis back. So, they kill themselves....

It's shocking the level of stupid the Rs willfully display over and over again.

Gay/Trans is NOT counter to Darwin, in fact, may prove it yet again. Genes don't care about the carrier of said genes - they don't "want" to replicate, but those that do, show up again, and again, and again. Since humans are social animals, and have to care for our offspring for way too fucking long, it's not surprising that more nurturing individuals in a group, the better those genes replicate. It also explains the non-trivial number of gay/trans in all populations, worldwide. If they couldn't "replicate" as you suggest, there wouldn't be any.
