Well done video and winner of the media award.  Congrats Trouble - video shows what TransPac is and should be for the majority of the participants - a fun adventure with friends.

Still one of the best boats to do a Transpac on. Congrats to Jen for setting the house speed record this year.

Transpac 2021 race recap.

Well, it is several days later and a whole island removed and there has been time to mull over the seven day and eight hour race. First off and fittingly so, the last start day is really the big show of the Transpac. All of the gold platers are present and they are not necessarily the biggest boats. Our division could arguably have been considered the most competitive. For us to spot them 8 minutes and 37 seconds was a monumental fcuk up that will not be adequately explained here and really set the tone for the remainder of the event. We could never get into the same lanes of pressure as the leaders and were always just slightly out of phase, then moderately out of phase and then in an entirely different event altogether. So, if you are going to the big show, don’t be late!..................if you want to read more and pretty pics and videos, here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/doug.johnstone.31/posts/10218665025088113

Quite a few anomaly's in this boat & race techniques. Dyneema rigging thru ought, but cheap dacron sheets. Single sheets on spi. Crap tied everywhere around boat. Drivers staring at compass with spi up. But looks like a full new set of racy North Sails?? And lots more

Was Div 8 designated as the Aloha "cruiser" class for Tpac?  Seems more surprising that the E37's were put in Div 8 and not Div 7.

Yeah I was sitting at the table with Jeff during this discussion.  After the answer that there is nothing political about the move.  My suggestion was to rephrase the question "Since the math clearly doesn't support the move how do you avoid the percetion of it being politically motivated?"
