Percussive Maintenance - on an older J-24 that was the first keelboat the owner was learning to drive on.... in a 30 boat fleet. Logo is spelled inside the handle of a sideways hammer

"back in the day", Mull half-tonner called "Knockers". Spins and bloopers (remember those?) were all bright pink, with big circular red retrieval patches in the approriate spots. Made for a striking view off the wind. Oh, and the racer-chaser give-away shirts that said "half-ton knockers" were fun, too.

BTW, the original Aliens Ate My Buick was Jimmy Morris' boat. He named all his boats out of headlines in "the Weekly World News". His Schock-35 "Psycho Betty" was a lot of fun. We still miss you, Jimmy...

I agree with Skiffe & Jackattack - Aus Cherubs have always had the best names.

Here's a few from the past :

Nix (Nikki Bethwaite circa 1974)

Next to Nix (sistership to above)

Harnessed Insanity (circa 1974 Davis bros)

Last Chance Powerdrive (circa 1976 Rob Keeley named after a line in Born to Run)

Big Yellow Taxi (my boat circa 1980 - sorry, biased here)

Wop (Phil Smith / Vicki Weeks circa 1978 - the ORIGINAL Foregin Affair - named after Vicki's dog)

and the best...

Pork Hunt - circa 1980 - the guys had to rename it at the Henley Nationals in 1981 before their entry was accepted.

They renamed it "Put to Shame"
