As if birth control always works, and every period is constant and predictable.Have you ever actually lived with a woman?
There are plenty of reasons besides pregnancy for why a woman may not have a period at the expected time. For some women, their period timing is extremely erratic.
Yet under many of the proposed (or enacted) new laws, the timeline for an abortion jsut barely exceeds the average timing between periods.

"Oh, and we're not going to teach you about your body even though you are able to reproduce, and we're not going to support you or the child in any way after the birth."
