There's a correct way to modify quotes. What always identifies you nutjobs is ignorance. In the past, I've considered several of you as Russian trolls, even bots, but I think the real answer is that it's just lack of education.

And in this particular case "more free shit" makes no sense. Congress passed this proposal, not Joe, and the senate vote was 80-15 suggesting a lot of Rs joining the Ds. Your terminology also suggests a lack of sophistication and understanding of the stakes involved and other hugely important factors like the barge traffic slowdown on the Mississippi due to low water conditions.

For everyone else: I thought it interesting that Sen Paul (R-KY) voted "present" for some reason, and 4 senators didn't vote at all: Burr (R-NC), Hyde-Smith (R-MS), Murphy (D-CT), Warnock (D-GA).

I wonder why. We pay these folks to study these issues and vote.

He probably doesn't want to be on the 'wrong side' of the vote but more practically, he just busy campaigning and his vote wasn't needed.

I have no insight into Murphy.

Burr seems to just be retiring a few weeks early - he's one of the guys that tried to get the government to intervene earlier so its obvious where he stands but he's also on the outs with the Republican base so I think he's just done with public office.

Hyde-Smith isn't obvious either other than she appears to only really take interest in social issues and just doesn't care about other stuff.

The voting 'present' thing is kinda common amongst folks who have some ideological beef. For example, Joe Manchin voted 'Present' on adding the 7 sick day vote, saying he didn't want to upset the negotiations that had already occurred. That amendment went down 52-43 = 95 votes too.. - votes also apparently also skipped by Burr/Hyde-Smith, Murphy/Warnock again and Cory Booker? So .. .yea.

Name one thing Biden has done right, just one....... How about he hasn't called for the overthrow of the US Constitution on social media nor incited an insurrection that resulted in a mob storming the US capitol.

Of course he's got another 2 years to go, so I guess anything is possible. Just saying.
