I do not need to see the video of Tyre Nichols being "beaten to death" (quote from Memphis PD official). That is not to say I feel it is not important. I am sickened at the evil and hate that persists in American society. How often did such atrocities occur before everyone had a video cam (phone) handy? And still, they continue to occur.

I legitimately have no idea which way our Back the Blue (Sometimes) crowd is going to come down on this one. I have no idea which side they will call the thug(s).

But there has been black-police on black citizen violence before; the cases I know of were not as extreme.

No fucking way am I going to watch it. The guy begged for his mom three times while the cops are beating him to death. I see people die all the time as a hospice nurse and the thought of someone dying with that much Terror and Trauma makes me..... there aren't really words for it.

And I realize he died a few days later but he was killed then and there

I have not always been treated nicely by cops. I got beat up pretty badly, but not hospitalized badly by a white cop who thought I was flirting w/ his g/f. (I was, but she was flirting back twice as hard). I got pretty scared by a group of black cops who threatened to kill my dog (Who was on a leash tied to the porch railing). In the end, the group of black cops ended up becoming friends, after everything that someone said about me turned out to be BS.
The White cop who beat the crap out of me for flirting.... Eventually he got busted by the state police for facilitating prostitution, and taking "favors" from young ladies behind the local supermarket after hours....

Incomprehensible that the police would/ could not control him quickly with overwhelming force , later on in the film he was running because he was afraid for his own safety.

Saw the over head video. Big guy with steel toe boot drop kicked his head while he’s on the ground under control. Then the beat down is on.

I was pulled over, for the first time in almost 20 years, recently. young sheriff with an attitude. wasn't fun. he was pissed when i blew .01. fucker still gave me a citation for crossing over a white line. i hate to say it, but i was nervous, dealing with that asshole. i am white and old.
