I read the article and I do not think your conclusion is on par with that article. Crimea was not even talked about. And goal was absolutely not Donbas or Crimea in Russian hands. There was a time. It has gone and events have rendered it moot, but there was a time.

At that time Ukraine was willing to cut a deal which would've left the break-away republics and Crimea in Russian hands. However Zelensky was unable to stop the militias on the 2014 borders from continuing the fight.
Sounds like a well regulated militia could come in handy. There was a time. It has gone and events have rendered it moot, but there was a time.

Yep, having all the small arms in the armory makes sense.Sounds like a well regulated militia could come in handy.

The guy is losing his grip
Does anyone still listen to the Walrus?Bolton said that he thinks if/when DeSantis is President-he would maintain support for Ukraine.
HmmLast night I watched the PBS broadcast of Turandot at the Met, the lead soprano is Ukranian and for her last curtain call she came wrapped in the Ukraine flag and brought down the house. This was recorded last August or September, the point being the patrons at the Met in NY are well educated and wealthy and the support they showed is telling. There will be a push by the aholes elected to cut support in Congress but I don't think it will fly.
Since you didn't see the event will discount your opinion - there were a number of banners unfurled and small flags waved at that moment. While I have never been to the NY Met I have attended a number of classical programs from ballet to opera and can comment on a typical audience which has nothing in common with a Trump rally. People who have money have influence, just a fact of life and I found it encouraging that so many enthusiastically supported Ukraine at this event.Hmm
A lot of public behavior, especially groups like an audience, behave in a performative fashion. It’s easy to clap enthusiastically and stand with others in a meaningless spasm of bonhomie.
As Trump has shown us, in the privacy of a voting booth Americans may cite for a morally reprehensible, incompetent, racist narcissist.
I’m not persuaded that a GOP torn between the “leadership” of MTG and Desantis is capable of, or interested in supporting Ukraine.
