It would buy some time while Progozhin is distracted by consolidating power in Russia - enough time to get Ukraine into NATO. The question is whether Ukraine can get back their territory before Putin is taken out. If not, things will get very confusing.

I'm not really understanding why Ukraine is not being offered training now on sophisticated weapons, they don't have yet. This war could go on a long time, and Ukraine could be a NATO member someday. Jens Stoltenberg said as much the other day. Either way, if it takes a year to learn to drive a Tiger, the time to start is now. Apparently it only takes six weeks to switch from flying Soviet helicopters to Sea Kings.

I don't believe Natasha says that - Fat Boy Sergey is the one who implies the whole world will become ash if they lose Crimea.
What Natasha is saying is that the Rooskie leadership is acting as if they are afraid of the Hague as they haven't escalated things to her liking. Then she goes on to say she spits on the Hague, as should the rest of the Russian leadership.
And from their position she is correct. They shouldn't care about war crime charges because it is highly unlikely they would ever see the inside of a courtroom in the Hague - provided they never step foot outside Russia. The ICC won't try a defendant in absentia.
How do you know that? From what I have seen, there is a lot of training going on all over the world, and they don't want to shout it out, for good reason. Many things have happened recently that show training has been in progress for months. I wouldn't be surprised that Ukrainian pilots are already trained on other platforms, such as the F16. Many of the trainers have been surprised how quickly the Ukrainians have progressed.
