Explosion at Nuclear Airbase Just 150 Miles From Moscow Opens Stunning New Phase of War

Deadly explosions rocked two bases deep inside Russia in a blistering new setback for Putin, who is already sustaining huge losses on Ukrainian territory.
Two explosions at major Russian military bases, including the Dyagilevo base near Ryazan just 150 miles from Moscow, mean the war in Ukraine has come right to Vladimir Putin’s doorstep.
The explosions—which may have been missile or drone strikes but that has yet to be confirmed—suggest that whoever is behind them wanted to strike fear right in the heart of Russia.
The second explosion struck the Engels-2 base, from which Tu-95 bombers have been pummeling Ukraine’s infrastructure over the last month.
A fuel truck explosion at the base near Ryazan killed at least three and wounded half a dozen and reportedly damaged Tu-95 bombers and Tu-22M long-range missile bombers, which have nuclear capability.

A Ukrainian official offered a cryptic appraisal of Monday’s explosions. “The Earth is round – discovery made by Galileo. Astronomy was not studied in Kremlin, giving preference to court astrologers,” wrote Mykhailo Podolyak, a presidential adviser. “If it was, they would know: if something is launched into other countries’ airspace, sooner or later unknown flying objects will return to departure point.”

Russia did plan time between missile runs, so Ukr rebuild stuff and get hammered later again. And radar on the Gepard is more effective then eyes 
Hitting two bases in Russia when they prepared their missile run is easily done, getting caught loading missiles during a satellite pass will do that.
Now I hope that Ukr realize their goal of many long distance drones. Unleash them at the moment when Russian planes and missiles are flying and you are guaranteed the Russian AA will make mistakes.

I'll say it again.
Hit Putin's two or three resort dacha's with cruise missles, and put one missle into the apartment complex on the outskirts of Moscow that the government provides him, even though he essentially never lives there. No other strikes in or around Moscow, not within 50 miles. Just that one apartment building.
THAT will get his attention.

I think there is an understanding not to hit Russia with western missiles with China.
But if Ukr makes their own... hitting the two main naval bases and two main military airports and the Moskva and the Kerch bridge is a start. Some in Russia must start to wonder what the future will bring.
