Germany thinks it’s too strong to worry about Russia and just wants to make money. UK is a welcome outlier, otherwise support appears to be proportional to proximity. France is the interesting one.

Those old enough to remember being the victim of occupation, or were raised by those that surrendered to Hitler, are still pro surrender. The younger generation have balls.

Poland and Estonia - no surprise they oppose Russia since it hasn't been that long since they were ground down by Soviet boots. Freedom is appreciated by those who have suffered without it. Some of our privileged white RWers should go live with Steven Segal.

The most experienced fighters need to be rotated back into training roles. That was our advantage over the Axis in WW II. The guys that led air groups at Coral Sea and Midway were already stateside for Santa Cruz, training the next air groups for the Marianas Turkey Shoot. Their Japanese equivalents started the war far better trained, but were mostly dead. Their skill and knowledge was lost.

No, I dived into this, a lot of assumptions of different topics based on nothing.
It is published by a thinkthank who relied on Datapraxis and YouGov, May 2022 research. In their own words; to see one side as Peace camp and the other as Justice supporters. Rubbish.
Both YouGov and Datapraxis are not the gospel of deep research in Europa.
Anything YouGov says of Europa, toss it in a bin. Political tinted. Often wrong.
Datapraxis is a Commercial American Based Business Annalist. 6 to 10 employee's.

The polls were carried out for ECFR through Datapraxis and YouGov in Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and Sweden. The survey was conducted between 28 April-11 May 2022, with an overall sample of 8,172 respondents.

This was an online survey conducted in Finland (n = 500), France (n = 1,000), Germany (n = 1,000), Great Britain (n = 1,103), Italy (n = 1,009), Poland (n = 1,002), Portugal (n = 506), Romania (n = 501), Spain (n = 1,050), and Sweden (n = 501).

Ah for fuck sake, online polling....with a very small sample.

Now the questions;
The segmentation used in this report into different voter camps in response to Russia’s war on Ukraine was primarily based on the following question: “Which of the following statements comes closest to your view?” Options included: “The most important thing is to stop the war as soon as possible, even if it means Ukraine giving control of areas to Russia”, “The most important thing is to punish Russia for its aggression, even if it means that more Ukrainians are killed and displaced”, “Neither of these”, and “Don’t know”. Respondents who chose the first option constituted the Peace camp. Those who chose the second one ended up in the Justice camp.

For fuck sake, this is rubbish.

In Short; check your sources. This is bullshit.

Thanks for that! I did not author the poll, but found it interesting, so shared it. Thanks for your deep dive and opinion from someone far closer to the issue than we are here in the US.

Every fucking Data polling company wants to make money on Ukraine, even with very dodgy analyses. Same for journalists. Use your sources careful or you end up in a conspiracy sect :) There are good sources. Pick them wisely.

You did see people made conclusions on this piece of shit data polling ....
