Russian MOD maths and an update on drone wars.
The book I mentioned talked about 10,000 to 13,000 including people who were brought from other towns and then forced into the river. No one will ever know the actual number. I may have misremembered the year, but this is the event. This isn't exactly Ukraine-related, but I have already fucked off, so....
I looked and found what I think you're talking about, but the years and numbers don't quite match.
The Blagoveshchensk massacre of July 1900
Pretty similar to how the USA reacted to Americans of Japanese ancestry after Pearl Harbor was attacked.
Good, they do not need much for an airport. But both sides are affraid of SAM systems and Manpads. And avoid direct contact. No side can claim air superiority. What is the state of Ukraine's air bases? Wondering about capacity to base the new MIGs and/of helicopters on the way and air superiority balance between the sides. A quick search wasn't very helpful.
I think this helps answer your question. It’s odd how few soldiers there are and how small the units, compared to the trench battles of the last century. How much is demographics and how much is technology?
I wonder what yearly upkeep on that equipment is. From a purely selfish perspective, it’s cheaper for Poland to donate it now than to use it in the future, or maintain it perpetually as a deterrent against a Russian threat from conquered Ukraine. They also will be on the front lines of the refugee crises if Ukraine is allowed to fall, though thanks to EU that burden will be spread throughout. If Russia is defanged Europe and the non Chinese world will prosper greatly. NATO will have little need for 2% spending.
I think this helps answer your question.
I’m guessing drones. The uks have adapted their drones for a lot of applications.Disruptive technology. Great video. What was dropping those bombs?
