The James Vasquez case is bad because it discourages charitable giving. Army veterans started questioning his military record from the start, as it did not appear he‘d served in any combat MOS.
It‘s now claimed he had no role whatsoever in fighting in Ukraine. And no one has figured out where the money he raised went. One Vlogger showed a bar tab of over $100 that may have been paid out of donated funds.
Now in the midst of all this, he got in a fight with a rando on the subway. This really makes me question his background, because someone who’d learned Army CombatIves would have tied this guy up and out him on the ground instead of squaring off. Embarrassing.

What difference a generation makes. When I spent time there in the late 90s, most of the guys in their teens and twenties carried a giant pile of resentment despite their universal acknowledgment that Noriega was a criminal piece of shit.
The US invading them was simply too much of an assault on their manhood, and still too fresh.

I think it depends on where they live. People that live in the capital have a much less favorable view about it than others. But I was only there for a week and didn't spend much time in the capital.
He skipped the chapter on fighting a smaller opponent while wearing body armor and your opponent isn’t. It’s a totally different set of tactics.

Just ignore the shit fight. The journalists without war experience visiting Ukraine and are shocked by what they see and declare Ukr is losing. The youtubers that produce 45 minutes vids about the actual situation, making a nice living out of it. Without naming the sources because that would show it was all based on a few tweets or telegram posts and a lot of fantasy. The mil guys walking around and spewing bullshit, Nancy, Chuck, etc. Myra aid (which seems to be a nucleus for them).
But al of them making a nice living of it.
There are brilliant youtube vids about arms, history etc.

The guy I follow and support is in Kiev and has stories about the SV guys who come into the bar and start with their bs - always someone who is interested and encourages them knowing the longer they talk the sooner the expose themselves. They have little tolerance for those clowns.
