Moreover all those AA defenses the Russians have placed around it would be freed up for use elsewhere if the bridge was gone. It's a more than a fair bet the Russians have deployed some of their very best stuff there.
from berdyansk you get the option
4 if by air and 1 if by sea
taking out the supports at water level using a pair as cutting charges is much easier than chipping the road away

Maybe now after this;
Russian authorities arrested Russian National Guard (Rosgvardia) naval department head Colonel Sergey Volkov on Mar. 29 for corruption-related charges in connection with the sale of low-quality radar systems at heavily inflated prices. Which were used at the Kerch Bridge.

It's about 200 miles (320 km) from Kherson to the Kerch Bridge, which is Russia's primary link between Crimea and Russia.

Do the Ukrainians have (or will soon have) weapons that can target that bridge? It would seem like a worthy target.

Can’t shoot such valuable and advanced missiles from the front lines. They wouldn’t last five minutes given the kind of warfare being waged.

Better add thirty miles to the range of your system unless this is all being done under cover of darkness & still you’re packing it up every night.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on March 27 removing the upper age limit from Russian National Guard (Rosgvardia) servicemen serving in occupied Ukrainian territories until Jan. 1, 2026.

The decree notes that men interested in Rosgvardia service will not undergo psych assessments.

More meat.

Orban is still one of the world’s greatest asshole, but now Putin also thinks he’s an asshole and has put Hungary on the list for unfriendly countries.
Viktor, both sides say you’re an asshole.

If this was posted and I missed it apologies. It's a outstanding article. Over 1000 global companies have left russia.
---------
Putin coldly withheld natural gas shipments from Europe–which previously received 86% of Russian gas sales–in the hopes freezing Europeans would get angry and replace their elected leaders. However, a warmer-than-usual winter and increased global LNG supply mean Putin has now permanently forfeited Russia’s relevance as a key supplier to Europe, with reliance on Russian energy down to 7%–and soon to zero.
--------
It appears Russia is well on its way toward its long-held worst fear: becoming a weak economic dependent of China–its source of cheap raw materials.
