The air force reported that at night Russia launched 7 Iskander-M ballistic missiles and three Iskander-K cruise missiles at Kyiv. All of them were shot down. Unfortunately, fragments of one of the rockets fell on a residential building. Two adults and one child were killed, 14 people were injured.

They keep pounding Kyiv, missiles fired just over the border. Not much time to notice them. Makes total sense to start invading Russia Belgorod area. Even as a feint.

I think de-escalation is a fine idea.

How do you do that? First you have to sell the idea to the one who is most determined to keep on fighting. That would be Russia's leadership.

I don't even speak Russian, so I don't know the details of how to be persuasive to Russians; but I know enough about universal human behavior to know that the first step is to convince them thoroughly that they are NOT going to win.
