With the impending demographic and debt crises, Xi may not have a country to rule over for much longer.
Within 20 years half their people will be pensioners and within another 20 years their population will have halved.
Yet they will still have sufficient housing stock (or the ruins of) to house 1.5 Billion people and the economic hangover from having built it.
In short, China is fucked.
Xi won't miss a meal but his people will suffer due to his and Mao's stupidity.

I managed to break my leg night skiing on the Pimple on the Prairie, Mount Blackstrap. 2045' above sea level. They closed the hill afterwards. (Quite a while afterwards).
