I put a great deal of trust in the opinions by Hodges but he admits too that war is unpredictable.

Again, I had already wondered about the possibility he raised about leaving the bridge open for a time as an escape route; but tend more toward the idea that UKR will blow that thing here soon.

Do remember that he was among those that assumed this would be a repeat of 2014.
Don't get me wrong, I did too.
Difference is that I'm not a pundit in this area.

Well I have none of those so I'm set.
Tried Facebook for a month YEARS ago on a recommendation from a friend and then got the hell out of dodge.

I have accts on FB, Instagram, Twitter but very rarely hit them these days.

Something I do like still is YouTube and I pay some kind of subscription fee, maybe $20/mo. You can subscribe to channels of interest, view everything ad-free, it’s good value to me and there’s a surprisingly good amount of content.

Have not turned on a Tv in years, despite one of the big screens being in my bedroom!

Been waiting to see if she suffered damage after footage appeared seeming to disprove Russian claims that they destroyed all the USVs (see below). Still don't see any evidence of the damage though

what you are missing is the bit between what was being recorded and what was being transmitted before the aerial / power / transmitter was rendered nonfunctional by the explosion
ie ... there will be a delay between the camera and the aerial
the bit where it cuts off was the last bit transmitted not necessarily the last bit recorded

I'm not missing anything. There has been no evidence release showing any damage to the warship. The Russians have released video showing it to be fine, but that may have been recorded previously. Until we see photos or video, we don't know what damage, if any, has been done

in that case you are missing more than i thought
the vid the rushtards show is of a straight funnel ship ( a minelayer )
the intel ship has a raked funnel
there is also other differences esp on the mounted equipment on the stern between the 2

the recording obviously stops when the drone is destroyed so the ukr's can not show it .. and the rushtards show a different ship as proof it wasn't hit
maybe you do have the deductive skills to work out who is lying the most

You mean this video released of the Ivan Khurs returning to port with no damage that clearly has a raked funnel just like the Ukranian drone footage?

I'd suggest you are the one missing things
(though as I said, I'm not certain that the video below is indeed from after the attack, or that it isn't her sister ship for that matter

It's top speed is more like 40kmh, but I dont know the timings of the strike Vs that video. I did think it was more than 10 hours, but may be wrong

In a vid I saw earlier today they 'proved' the ship by Sevastapol is a different ship, seemed convincing.

Anyway, not sure how it matters in the big scheme of things either way, it's not like the Moskva sinking was!
