1443 - The winner of race 13 is Diaz . Cayard finished 2nd followed by Dieball. By just half a boat length at the pin. Linton took 4th and Ingram was 5th. Fisher finished 9th and Terhune was 10th. A very close overlapped finished. Dieball has had a great afternoon of racing.

things will change a bit after this race, they're about to get another throw out

I wonder how they think they're going to get 6 races in tomorrow before noon?

=================================================

1520 - Race 14 leeward rounding, Peck, Linton, Martin Varges, Dieball, Fisher. Terhune rounded the left gate looking upwind a couple of boats behind Fisher. The finish line has been moved upwind 2/3 of way for the last race of the day.

1514 - Dieball was in the mix near the front at the last rounding. He must have been behind another boat when rounding.

1508 - Windward rounding, Peck, Linton, Rumbaugh, Martin, Fisher, Dieball, Raab, Varges, Dickson.

What's the venue? The 2010 C of C is one of the few champs that's not listed on the USSailing calendar yet.

Finally we get to see a guy like Cayard compete with the best mom and pop dinghy sailors.
If he finishes deep, it may, in my opinion, help boost the careers of the above small boat pros.
ha, he will not finish deep, i guarantee you that.

Answer is, they won't. They're going to try, but there's no way they'll get 6 races in unless they start way earlier than the scheduled 9:30.

No warning flag after noon.

I wonder how they think they're going to get 6 races in tomorrow before noon?

Never say "Never". The fleet seems to be learning how to do quick boat rotations. Now if we only let the RC use the short practice race course you could see 6 races. They got in a lot of races during practice!!

But more likely you'll see 3 races. Some OA's would just even the boats out and assign one boat to one skipper for the regatta. Here, they are doing both the evening out process and a boat rotation. Typically, OA's do not complete the full round robin. It's a lot of races in a very short time.

To answer the question about course lengths.

Wed practice was .75 NM

Thursday was mostly 1.5 NM with lighter air prevalent.

Friday was mostly 1.8 NM with Race 14 being 2.5 NM.

Everyone seems to be very, very happy with kudos due to CSA & particularly Matt Burridge.
