Somebody, forgot who, was saying that as there are no marks to keep them away from the North coast of Ireland, they should all go quite close to the coast, anybody knows to what extend the north coast of Iceland is "clear" ?
Should provide cool images !

In yesterday's Tip & Shaft Pos. Report, Christian Dumard (weather guru) said they shouldn't need to go too close from Iceland. Direct route is 20/25 miles off the coast.

Ok but they have to go around it, so on the Northern and Western part they should go quite close ?
Edit : ok listened to the podcast, but he doesn't talk about the western part.

On the 11am sched, Charlie really iincreased his lead, jeremie and Thomas got stuck ..

Charlie is undoubtedly on a fast boat, but he seems to know exactly where to put the thing too. Scooting away again.

That is one very sticky ridge, which continues to extend ahead of the fleet.

Pip is having a blast. All smiles & lotsa socmedia presence - however - she’s getting tossed out the backend (-200nm) with a proven winner.

What’s the deal here? She mentioned baby wheels” old foils but really?

Good question... she's not made the best of decisions so far it seems (but then again maybe its just luck, or lack of it in these fickle winds... )

Charlie must be feeling pretty good about his positioning. Looks like there's a good chance he'll get a downwind rounding while others will be beating.

Pretty fun replaying the transitions. Charlie had a 10 mile lead that grew continuously and poor Conrad has his own personal high.

Changed route- the weather forecast to the N of Iceland (I guess for everyone other than Charlie) was too risky....

Decision to cut out the westwards passage around the top of Iceland because of Northerly gales gusting to 50 knots between Friday and Saturday!
