There is chatter in the TOR tread praising the benefits of Team Maliza's full scow-like bow in a seaway, yet Will Harris reports “it is hard to stop the boat from wiping out" as they approach Cape Horn. I wonder if Ruyant's narrower bow with spray rails will provide better directional stability with the rails helping to prevent it from going down the mineshaft? Exciting to see designers taking different approaches. The upcoming Vendée is going to be a good one with so many different designs, including the Raison non-foiling duo.

Ask yourself, which one is most likely to turn into a bow rudder when pressed. If they have figured out how to keep a pointy bow from doing that after coming off a plane or having stalled foils, then they will have a winner.
