Virtual Regatta at its best !!

It’s back to normal, finally, for me now.  Can see other boats and get accurate heading for my boat now.  

I’d guess the issue was having two races going off at once.  VOR and the Transat.  So they shut down some options/info to prevent a crash.

Well, off to a reasonable start, position has been up and down erratically but I guess that will settle down. 

Lets see how long it takes me to make a fundamental error and I revert to my usual mode of catch-up.

Dammit -

Late (relaxed) finish to the SB20 Nationals Prize Giving meant I didn't get online till several hours after the start and then made a course change after at least 3 jugs of beer.

Not a good call - now in the 40k s

Interesting day for me today...  Day 2 or our yacht club's biggest annual regatta, and I was out racing (Flying Scot) while trying to manage three virtual races including Clipper Leg 3 (which I'm leading now) on my phone before and between races.  Can't complain.  Did well in my races without making any big mistakes in the virtual races.

Didn't take the phone out on the water - and then (it being Singapore) it was all about beers in the pool to cool off from the sailing;  15kts of wind isn't going to help cool you off in 40 degree high humidity heat...  Great sailing tho...

So - got online this morning (I'm UTC +8) and found I'd dropped to:

Mini:8,790 / TJV:35,386 / VOR:19,344, Clipper:6,236... Oh well 

At least, with all the irresponsible drinking and lack of Nav - I haven't managed to run myself onto a beach, which is more than can be said for....

Sorry mate, VR in their infinite wisdom have restricted the number of friends to 25, so I can't add extra people, hopefully    mkgsailor will be along later to do a second listing of all those that I can't sort out.
