I hear China hosting a stopover has prevailed. @shanghaisailor will be a happy man. So more uphill work for the foilers and a late season rounding of Cape Horn with potential to break more shit will prevail.

The interim stop(s) between Cape Town and China is still up in the air. Also hear the Australian competing cities are driving the Swedes bat shit crazy as they are not being sucked into the TOR "pay for hosting rights business model" without some guarantees of their ROI.

Not having an Australian entry which has always been the case comes at a cost when chasing Host City support there. The Swedes surely must have known that at day one.

Not one new build confirmed so far..at best a couple of retro fits starting with sale of HB which won't be in next VG.

One from a US owner backing a NZ/UK/US team with French designer. But if the China stopover is true, very different design and effectively a new class and all on his own except for Charlie Enright and Co.

Part 3 is out but offers no more information about the course and stopovers than the RO has already said before. Looks as though they want keep it a secret for a while longer.
