Trump then hit the crowd with this promise: "If I become president, we're all going to be saying 'Merry Christmas' again. That I can tell you. That I can tell you! Unbelievable."
Better dead than red.

I say Merry Christmas every year and decorate the heck out of the house (although it's mostly pretty secular themed). So far the beliefs of whoever is POTUS hasn't interfered with my tremendous enjoyment of the holiday.

Dude......this year I got a Chicago Bear electric train to set up around/under the Christmas tree.......the dog is gonna go nuts!

And I'm gonna watch Miracle on 34th Street (the 1947 version with Maureen O'Hara), and the Charlie Brown Christmas special, drink spiked hot chocolate, make glogg and chow down on the family traditional Swedish buffet. I'll even tempt the lightening again and make my annual trip to church for the candlelight Christmas Eve service. I really like the whole candlelight thing.

I probably shouldn't tell you about the boat decorations I have planned for the harbor parade......you'll make fun of me.

I can't wait for Thanksgiving to get over so I can get started!

Point is you can all keep Christmas in your own way and not fret about others and the season will be wonderful.....or not.....depending on your outlook. Which you have control over.

Yeah, that was kinda dissapointing. With jesus boy carson on the ropes Trump is trying to appeal to the sky god freaks, it's politics.
I'd rather have jesus boy in the White House rather than muslim boy. Why do you think he pulled out of Iraq? He didn't want to kill his own kind anymore.
Why have either? I prefer my govt not to kowtow to bronze age superstitions

Dont confuse atheism with liberalism. I personally think we should nuke the raghead camel fuckers off the face of the earth. I just dont think we need to carry a cross while doing it

So no love for Trump demanding that all Americans will be forced to say Merry Christmas?

christmas is for christians. Believing in that bullshit is like believing in hillary.
Makes sense somehow...

At the risk of appearing predictable, the Bible was and remains the biggest influence on my thinking, killery said I was raised reading it, memorizing passages from it and being guided by it.

"We came, we saw, he died. ha ha ha"

That's one thing we lefties can agree with you on, mate!!

Is our First Lady going to hit the button again this year to light the national Christmas tree surrounded by her family? Is the WH going to be bathed in Christmas decorations yet again this year at tax payer expense?

Hmmmm....... Watch out for those conservatives.....

I had to take a look to see what the ruckus was. Funny. At best, the last 7 years went from pine trees, snow and stars to last year a silhouette of holly leaves. A better description of Starbucks change is that they took the symbols of pagan solstice celebrations off their cups. Nothing to do with baby Jesus.

The Starbucks thing is much ado about nothing. The concept that anyone should boycott a company for not celebrating Christmas is beyond crazy. It is a story the media should have ignored and a story to which every politician should have simply commented - "who cares? Not my business."

Funny thing is, they never celebrated Christmas before. It's a manufactured controversy. Christians love those.

What about the Christian "buycott"? If a company hosts a gay pride day then they should host a bible studies according to Faith Driven Consumer. They rate companies to guide Christians on where to shop.

The War On Christmas is Alive And Well.

Never heard of that. Where are you learning this shit --- at a "boycott Chick Fil a" rally? In a courtroom where people with religious beliefs are being persecuted for not baking a wedding cake for a gay couple? Please do tell.
