His three video series on building a laminated mast from general lumber is excellent.

Starts here:

That said, I do recommend always starting all his videos at the 1:20 mark and setting the playback speed to 1.25X. He is a bit of a slow talker.

makes ya thunk on a few tings like:
If ya wanna a true cruising boat mebbe it would look like Bill’s.
(not bill the cat, of course).
bermuda rig: great for racing, but sail change at 0200 in 10 foot seas, single handing? junk rig seems better choice.
long keel: racing yea, but finding a shallow place to anchor and scrape the hull or trailering, bilge keels make a sense

after watchin 55 episodes, he could‘ve made an armada size fleet a stitch n glue dinghy s or canoes. this guys patience and dedication is phenomenal. his SWMBO‘s dedication is remarkable as well

see ya in Horta…

BS promotes steel origami design and construction.
He used to post here but he got punted a few years ago for some of his interactions with other posters

Very cool project, hats off to him. Projections of speed and windward ability sound optimistic, it'll be interesting to hear how she goes.
