Non controversial answers.

Foiling boats require wade in launch areas, few places have such facilities. Foiling dinghies will be more restricted by the availability of suitable launching areas than non-foiling dinghies. Foiling boats don't, in light air. Thus every sailor needs a wildly over powered dinghy for light air, a foiling dinghy for medium air, and stay on shore and repair both on heavy wind days.

Light air sailing sucks. Either sail a boat with far too much sail area, such as a fully crewed, fully rigged boat with an SA/D of 50 or higher. See above answer for more details.

Motor assisted boats perform significantly better than boats without an auxillery. Therefore on light air days when you do not have a boat that meets the requirements of answer two and do not require maintenance as in answer one, go power boating.

Foilers don't foil when sailing behind a tree or house on the river bank.
Putting foilers on waters which has a 4 mph limit for motorboats would be just dangerous.

Light air sailing takes a skill some don't have , it's quite possible to race dinghies in light airs.
The sailing world does exist in smaller and sheltered waters.

I'm off for a sail in light airs in a displacement 16ft boat.

Chatgpt is quite interesting to play with. The examples above are pretty typical responses to basic prompts, however with a little tweaking you could easily get the bot to write a post in the style of Lesbian Robot or Sol Rosenberg.

I’ve been playing with midjourney to create AI images. It’s really amazing, however it isn’t very good at boats.
