I think it was the late 70's when Springsteen announced they'd not be performing the Fever in concert anymore. It caused a bit of a kerfuffle in NJ because that song got a lot of airplay on local FM stations.

I'm thinking playing a blues that slowly and investing that much emotion into it 3 or 4 nights a week was taking a toll.
