What is This? How is it Used?

Found this rummaging thru my newly acquired boat.

Looks like a transducer for ether a speedo or depth sounder that does not require a through hull.  I have a similar setup for a speedo that requires a wheel be stuk on outside of hull and the end stuck to inside of hull directly over wheel.  It never worked real well and since we ramp launch a bunch ended up loosing a couple and giving up.

It's a "mouse" type GPS receiver. Probably runs serial, you can get em on Alibaba for 5 bucks.

Not with that BNC connector!  As longy said, it's an active GPS antenna: it puts out RF, not NMEA.
