What's at stake with NBR Misconduct rule 69?

perhaps each of you should try walking in Shubrook’s shoes.
They won't fit. He has surprisingly large shoes for someone with such tiny hands.

A8b did not ask for you to be on his side of an argument, and whether you want him on your side isn't relevant to anything.

It's nice to wish for a different world, but in this world, negative stream of attack sure does get the clicks.

I hear you, and your perspective indicates we are quite alike in this, at least, but our definition of trolls is quite different.
Clean, I think the point you are missing is that if a8b was alive in 1925 Germany he would be a member of the Schill Sportversand and wearing a brown shirt.
Remember that the SA started as a socialist movement, determined to bring about economic reform, create equal opportunity for all. They started as the youth movement to the German Workers Party and believed in the break up of the concentration of power and wealth held by the aristocracy and 19th century industrialists.
But this turned into a negative stream of attacks and vile language, first on political opponents, then on jews and non-germans.
It sure attracted the "clicks"

That does not make it right, either then or today.

If you have a point to make and a contribution to make to the discussion and can do so with respect, then there is a place for you in Western Democracy

If your message is one of hatred, distrust and obscenity, so sure of your own "rightness" that you have no ability to hear any other information or points of view.........then I dont care if you are extreme right or extreme left, I do not trust you. History has taught us that the only message that survives from these kinds of people is the hatred.

I love how the Sponge Bob version of Nazis can vomit literal human killing bile, and when the casual observer points out the potential problem with that, the Nazi apologists come tut-tuting at the observers.

Choosing team Stupid Human Killer, they out themselves.

It is disgusting and reveling.

I
There is far more offense on your side, sir.

People are dying from these lies, and you stand to defend the killers, I guess, because they have a boat, or you fear for their honor.
The national disgrace is how AMERICA has had so much more of it's population die than any other comparable country in the world, because masks are being questioned by Trumptards. Which is killing Trumptards, in some god level irony.
Some of who are vag beautificators, I guess.

There is no "Leftards think masks are a get out of yail card." The leftests who goto Yale(sic) still have to pay for it.

I cannot believe you tried to false equivalency/both sides masks you ignorant fuck.
Discuss what? There is no debate. There is no issue. There never was a debate over an actual issue.

There is just the dead sacrificed to Stupid, the God/Operating principal of the Trumptards.

In every other country in the world they did the basic, grade school shit they were supposed to and, as a consequence, a MUCH smaller proportion of their population died to this virus. A much smaller portion of their population will suffer whatever long term consequences having had the virus leads to. Dementia, Erectile dysfunction, whatever.

It is not even a fucking pontification. Not a single new thought or hot take. The well worn path is strewn with the fragments of shoe leather of our betters.
But you did not call out the lies/false thinking that has killed more Americans, at times, over the last three years, than any other thing. And is easily preventable.

So you do not like the language used by some of the living, but do not mind the death the other wielders of language cause?

To me, one is obscene. The other calling out the obscene.
The bottom line is that if you did not bother reading a word written by a8b, you would not have missed a worthwhile thing.

But if you missed this from LB 15, you missed a good chuckle.
This is why I prefer 'Cunt'.

Well golly, the sensitivity of some of these socks. Must have been putting their feet in their mouth for so long, they simply have bitten off more than they can chew.

Data extracted from Healthdata.gov Funny how the uber vaxxed are showing the highest rates of cases. It's almost like they were sensitized to the newest variants. And golly, those Benighted Trump voters at half the rate of cases...

You could look it up, but it would refute your confirmation bias. So good luck you Blue staters, you've poisoned yourselves, and now you get to have the backside of the poorly thought out narrow focused ineffective vaccine for which you can not seek redress...

You are wrong.

Demonstrably wrong.

I am not sure at what point that covid threw a switch and short circuit Ed your rational thinking, but you seriously need to reconsider your entire thought process.

I don't know if the people around you are ignorant, or just too embarrassed to correct you, or if you've managed to surround yourself with sycophants and like minded individuals.

But you need to get out of whatever echo chamber you've constructed in your mind that allows you to believe this crap you are posting.

culling the herd is the utmost priority!!
Especially when the culling will be comprised mostly of those "useful idiots" who have succumbed to their fears and set themselves up with compromised immune systems based on the contradictory mandates of their hypocritical leaders, all the while ranting at their more cautious neighbors as above.

It's going to be ironically & sadly glorious.

At the end of the panic, the evolution of the virus has followed the inevitable path to endemic status.

All the queen's ministers and all the their storm troopers have only delayed the inevitable.

Growling and quoting "Fact check" are equally indicative of a lack of your own ability to think and express rational beliefs. You use the term echo chamber and yet here you are, arbitrarily rejecting information that you don't agree with.

Thanks for validating my points so eloquently, albeit inadvertently

Let's review.

1. You made a claim.
2. I presented evidence from a factual, trusted source that clearly disproves it.
3. You claim that fact checking things is somehow 'arbitrary'.

Your response, in that context, makes absolutely NO sense. That 'fact check' cites 26 different sources, many of them scientists and doctors. It contains links to every one of the cites. It is the furthest thing FROM arbitrary.

Arbitrary would be someone pretending they can interpret scientific information when they are not an expert in the field. (Or, I suspect, an expert in ANY field). I am neither an experienced fact checker, nor a doctor. Therefore I rely on the trusted expertise of others to interpret the information. Attempting to read and interpret studies myself in itself would be the height of ignorance.

It would be assuming that I have far more expertise than I do, in reality. In other words,

1658424354082.png

Get off mount stupid. "Educating" yourself does not mean you suddenly have more expertise than qualified doctors, scientists, and researchers. You're like joker who constantly tries to pretend he understands global warming and explains how it doesn't exist, contrary to every bit of documented science.

Of course, people who think they're smarter than they are will then scream "don't be a sheeple, make a decision for yourself!". That's like telling someone off the street that they should be charge of deciding the dosage recommendations for their medication. That's like telling a car mechanic to disarm a nuclear bomb. That's like pretending a 'Doctor' with the letters 'DC' after it should be talking about serious medical issues. They have neither the experience nor the education to do so, and a couple hours with google won't make them any more of an expert.

You are deluded.

I acknowledge and appreciate your aspirational views, but they miss the point entirely: Whether you trust someone or they meet your randomly imposed requirements isn't relevant here.

Your ignorance of how the vaccinations interact with our immune systems is clearly expressed in the quoted post.
( please note: I am ignorant about how silicon chip are made and all kinds of other important stuff. I do not use ignorant as a pejorative term. Ignorant simply describes a lack of knowledge. )

As I prefer to help and educate rather than argue. I offer the following rather simplistic but somewhat accurate football analogy

During the week before playing a known opponent, the coaches set up a team of second string players so it can closely mimic the behavior of that next team to be played.

The second stringers generally lack the speed and strength of that upcoming opponent but they do run a lot of the same plays and set up the same defensive systems.

The first string team learns a little or maybe even a lot about how to deal with the things that upcoming opponent usually does. It isn’t quite the same as actually playing that upcoming team, but it generally helps.
If the practice squad does a tricky shift on its defensive line and tackles the quarterback fir a loss, the offense can set up differently and try again.
If the first time the offense sees that shift is in the game, it becomes 2nd and 25.

( that sorta describes making a vaccine and giving it to a persons immune system. Vaccines mimic the real virus but aren’t the virus. The immune system learns a bit about dealing with the virus. In the case of cowpox / smallpox the immune system learns from cowpox, which is not harmful to humans, EXACTLY how to deal with smallpox)

Back to football:
In the meantime, the other team has coaches of its own. That upcoming team learns new plays and new defenses. The specific practice against specific plays and defenses loses some of its value. On the other hand, practice generally is always good for the team. The general conditioning and increased understanding of plays and defenses makes it easier to learn about all defenses and plays.

****
Summary: Your ignorant and totally incompetent suggestion “vaccines compromise the immune system” is as absolutely wrong as suggesting it makes a football team worse to practice against a “counterfeit version” of an upcoming opponent.

I do not expect you to change your mind about vaccinations and how they work based upon a post in a sailing forum.

I do hope you will consider that which is written above and do just a little reading about vaccinations and how they work.

Your post, quoted above, could only have been written by a person who has no idea whatsoever about how vaccines work.

There is nothing wrong with not knowing. There is nothing wrong with expressing your opinion.

In this case your post said to me, “Hey Gouvernail!!! I do not understand how vaccinations work and I am basing my behavior on faulty impressions. Please try to save my life.”

The above is my best attempt. I sincerely hope you are able to process the information I have offered. I hope I got through!!

PLEASE!!! Do some studying about how vaccines work. Your lack of knowledge, combined with slick presentations made by people whose motives are questionable is setting you up for unfortunate and totally undesirable results.

For the love of Bermuda, will you please move on from Covid, masks and vaccines?! There’s an entire corona anarchy where you can go over stuff that most people picked up two years ago. This thread was interesting for its tropical islands, the naive aggression of the OP and because it was about boats. Discussing covid measures is like falling through some unpleasant time warp…

On the one hand I agree with your complaint.

But
I would like to know is @LionessRacing has given any consideration to my attempt to educate him.

Well, actually, this is wrong in an very important way.
As I said in my reply, ADE is real and serious. Yes, Vaccines can and have caused ADE. As natural virus infections can. See Dengue.
There is no evidence of ADE in any of the COVID vaccines.

I love how lioness does not even know he is talking about ADE.
There is some good evidence to back this up.
this paper for example

But even without a study to back it up, occams razor and most peoples real world experience would suggest that if your starting point is to tell someone that they are an idiot, your are unlikely to persuade them to change their behavior or their opinion.
In this thread do you feel that your comments have made anyonne chnage their opinion?
If you are comparing 1) a stroll in a park and randomly taking a seat on a bench and having a discussion, to 2) posting to SA, in a thread started by a right wing half wit, and 600+ shit posts in.

But, as a counter point, I will point out that almost 40 years of Stupid Republican lies being poured into the ears of the American public certainty did work for a millions of them. And I think that is far more evidence than 23 people in a park.
Especially when the culling will be comprised mostly of those "useful idiots" who have succumbed to their fears and set themselves up with compromised immune systems based on the contradictory mandates of their hypocritical leaders, all the while ranting at their more cautious neighbors as above.

It's going to be ironically & sadly
But lets look at the other side.
Here a deluded republican looks forward to the glorious death of those who do not believe like him.

But where is the harassment? Was he rude? Was he told to kill himself? Or was he told that he wrote nothing of value? Did anyone cite quickly google scientific studies to contradict?
Nope.

Instead it is encouraged to treat the poor soul like a differently abled family member. How dare anyone say anything about the desire to watch people die.

I will point a framework that I think explains it.

If any poster points out a MAGAt is a MAGAt, then all the fellow republicans rise to the MAGAts defense. Because, of course, they are all on team Republican. Team Republican over Team American, or Team Human, or Team Logic.

Like a cult, all good cult members defend the cult.
This is why I prefer 'Cunt'.
I don't. While I understand the cultural significance for Australians et.al. I happen to like cunts. As a source of great joy, using cunt as a pejorative is instinctively wrong, to me.

However calling someones thought process stupid, or pointing that their argument is fucking stupid/immoral/horribad seems more accurate and to the point, and less dehumanizing.

But reasonable posters can differ.
