I’m going to try not to put an eye out, but it won’t be easy. I couldn’t believe the price at the local Walmart, the box is worth fifteen bucks. I couldn’t resist. This will be my first BB gun since I was a kid. I know Its the least lethal thing on the planet but it IS fun nonetheless.

If you efile for form 1s they are much faster. Form 1s are "manufacturing" a new SBR or SBS. Those both took less than 30 days.

Now, my two suppressors are coming up on 200 days in the ATF jail.

There are many more who can or did demonstrate this level of marksmanship and professionalism.

Somehow a suppressor is the scary, more regulated, dangerous part than a high caliber, concealable SBR?

Apparently so, and I already own multiple of each. It would seem that after the first one it should be instant. But, instead I must ask permission from big brother to own something that shouldn't be regulated anyways.

We used to use one to kill carpenter ants in the garage. Drove by the old house recently and the garage is gone. Probably should have told our mom about the ants. A more complete solution was probably needed. But shooting them was fun.

What do you mean by a tax stamp? What about a pump shotgun needs such a thing
To put a barrel shorter than 18 inches on a shotgun you have to file for a tax stamp to create a "short barreled shotgun".

I'll be honest I think it is complete crap that I have to ask permission from the ATF to do it, but I follow the law and paid $200.

You do the Beer Can Mod?

An ol' GOAT I worked with taped a beer can underneath the feed ramp. He swore it smoothed out the belt's feeding when using short bursts, and it tamed the Pig Jam.

He also swore he deeply loved his M60, and if it could cook, he'd've married it.
The beer can mod dose work but only really if you are in a static position... Not real effective running and gunning in the jungle

There’s a big difference between what you can do with a general-purpose machine gun and a .50 cal like "Ma Deuce". They're an entirely different class of weapon. They can't be used in the same way, they have entirely different characteristics, it's like comparing a handgun to a battle rifle.

The M60 is a general purpose machine gun. General-purpose machine guns like the M60 are infantry squad weapons, easy to carry but with limited range and punch. Such a GPMG is effective against soft targets (infantry or vehicles without armor) in distances up to 700 meters. Though it can be vehicle mounted, it was typically as a squad automatic weapon, carried and operated by one man, usually with an assistant who packs additional ammunition. It uses full power rifle rounds and weighs 23 pounds.

The M2 is a heavy machine gun. It cannot be used as a squad automatic weapon, because it's far too heavy and can't be shoulder fired. They are usually mounted in fixed positions or on vehicles, and require a team minimum to be operated by infantry. It is not an individual weapon like the M60. There's good reason for this- it weighs 127 pounds with its tripod. It fires high powered .50 BMG rounds, which are nearly 6 times more powerful than the full power 7.62x51 fired by the M60, and as such, the ammo weighs a lot more, again greatly restricting its use as an infantry weapon.

When used in a vehicle, the M60 allows a greater volume of fire, and is thus better against infantry in the open, but has inferior barrier penetration and vehicle destruction. The M2 is much more effective against hard targets. Again, they're two different roles.

They aren't comparable. Not at all. They're entirely different classes of weapons with entirely different roles. Both being machine guns, they may appear similar to the layman, but the reality as that the similarities end at both being belt fed machine guns.
