Is it a wobbly building or could you argue that it's art? Post #6817 is a hint for #6812
Fairly sure I know what and where #6812 is but only tenuous ideas on #6817.
Pretty sure that #6817 is not the same location as #6812. But we are told that one is a hint to the other. Maybe the guy on #6817 has some connection to #6812? Comes from there? Won a medal there?

I agree they aren't the same location. At a guess, #6817 is close to home for PaulK, it seems to be his own photo. I can't recognise the boat or the person on the bow in #6817, I have tried. I'm not giving my answer for #6812 because I've set three puzzles in recent weeks and it's someone else's turn. Assuming I have it right, it's a big general tourist destination with a sailing connection.

It seems Dogwatch is getting warm. Surprised no one else is recognizing a low, black schooner. These shots might help -- again they are hints about what's coming to town where the funky sculpture is.

OK there was a schooner called America that won a race around the Isle of Wight in 1851, but it can't be that boat because it was stored in a shed which collapsed in a snowstorm and the whole mess was burned in 1945. But it could be a replica. Presumably the replica can be seen some times in location #6817. Perhaps it's some kind of museum for old boats and old boat replicas?

And that bottomless ewer looks familiar. I saw it one day in Newport a few years ago. A Nice Day Out In Newport.

I think some chaps do still race for it every few years. I am not sure why. What use is a bottomless ewer? You can't drink anything out of it. I wonder if they are going to have some races for it soon in location #6812?

On the other hand, as best as I can recall, the last Bottomless Ewer Regatta was won by New Zealand. And usually the holder of the Bottomless Ewer hosts the next races for it. But surely #6812 is not in New Zealand? Kiwis don't seem like the kind of people to build wobbly apartment towers just for the hell of it. What is going on?

I must admit, I don't see why it is called "Wounded Shooting Star".

This tries to explain it...
The photo is not the starting box for the 2024 America's Cup races, and that answer did not say where they will be held. dgibbsmi's answer is the one that mentions Barcelona, where the 2024 America's Cup races are expected. The beach promenade there is lined with sculptures, including a pretty one by Frank Gehry:

Your go, dgibbsmi!

And the Freddie Mercury / Montserrat Cabalie duet launched the Barcelona Olympics. It was a clue that the sculpture is in Barcelona. As @tillerman had sail NE Spain, I thought he probably had already figured it out. The sculpture is quite well known.

I didn’t know there was a replica of America. The modern AC boats starting to train in Barcelona are struggling with the wave conditions. In the Med, who’d have thought it. Doubtless they will get there.
