That's the one. I found this rather nice aerial shot of Christchurch Harbour at LW, didn't need it. The club is off past top left. One of my wealthier friends has a hut along the gravel spit at the bottom, which go for exotic sums for what they are.

Yet another River Avon drains into the harbour, along with the Stour.

It’s a stunning place . We were there last year , sat having a beer on the spit where Highcliffe S.C is. Watching a group of laser and aero sailors trying to tack back though the gap as they had got the tide wrong . After 40 mins they gave up and got towed though by the rib that was with them . 😀.

The island looks a lot like Gallinara aka Isola d'Albenga.

They should hold a regatta there for D-Zeros and RS Aeros. Le Mans style beach start, race round the island and back to the beach.

The location is somewhere on the beach on the Italian mainland opposite Gallinara. I don't know any more precise location than that.

You've never sailed on the sea? You must give it a try. They have these things called waves.

Probably over-thinking...but
1. Second pic obviously searches to Alassio...but Alassio doesn't have that view of Gallinara

2. The angle seems more like near where Fiume Centa enters the sea

3. Xeon said repeatedly that he doesn't sail on the sea. (so perhaps he is being tricky)

In which case he could be planning to sail on the Centa river, and the pic is taken on the sand bar that divides it from the sea.

Alternately, that isn't a pic of Xeon...and I am way off

I agree with you that the view of Gallinare cannot be from Alassio.

Looking at Google Street View, there are some dinghies lined up on the beach where the Centa river enters the sea, but the view of Gallinaria is all wrong there too.
