Havent seen or heard of GAsh lately since the landspeed record - anyone know what his involvent is in this AC cycle?

I would have expected to see him on an AC40 by now but dont recall seeing his name mentioned

You're right. I haven't seen him in a sailing video at all this cycle.

As he was a great asset of ETNZ it might be a great loss for them. In addition to his sailing talents, Glenn is also gifted by an incredible ability to make good decisions, and if in a former message I mentioned "He is preparing another PhD" I had good reason for that:
In 2007 or 2008, sailing HC Tiger with Darren at Eurocat in Carnac, I had opportunity to talk a few minutes with him. At this time, he was selling A-Cat sails and had already started coaching Jimmy Spithill.
And when mentioning the French market for A-Cat he answered me: "In France you have no more middle class".
Selling his sails across all Europeans countries probably provided him with some good insights.
Now, when at the end of 2018, our Yellow Jackets social unrest started, all our best economists, all of them holding a PhD in economy, were mentioning all the day the vanishing of the middle class in France.
In conclusion, GA was able to front run by 10 years all these pedantic PhD with a very relevant economic comment.
Having a good brain is very different from having a full brain.
I wish him the best
Cheers

Glen is cutting edge of getting the most out of any sail, best in the world IMHO. Breaking an "impossible to break inside ten years" record. etc

I think GD is giving him freedom to do what he wants?

Why wouldn't he be involved?

Well, firstly will he even be on the boat?

I'm pretty sure for AC36 he was doing main and BT was on flight control.

BT has moved to sailgp mainsail and Andy maloney onto flight, so one would think that is the cup configuration. Add in nathan as dual helm and what is he going to do, (is he doing a lot of cycling currently)?

Obviously you need reserves for these positions so even though he might not be on the A-team I think there's plenty of reason to keep him sailing. and he surely adds plenty of value in development/coaching.

In the wild.
So, did Glen sail on the Swiss boat, or just coach them?
I didn't see him, but then I see fuck all on my little tablet. And I try not to listen, so what was it.
