Help a brother out. Some years ago the wife and I were paddling near Sequim. It was snowing and calm, great conditions. Two ~20 foot white whales passed under us headed west.

Anyone have any idea what they could have been?

Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken Belugas are Artic creatures. I spend a lot of time on the inner coast for biz etc but never seen Belugas anywhere. Orca, Greys and Humpbacks but nothing in whale family that are white in colour. Might be an anomaly though. We never saw Greys much either.

All white?  Sailing up the Calif. coast near Pt. Mugu we had a mature humpback swim directly under us. The white pectorals stood out even though he was probably 20 feet down or more.

We can identify Dall's porpoise and Orca. These were small white whales. Either they were Belugas on vacation or something else.

Built wrong to be Nessie or Popeye, if that helps.

I’ll chase him round Good Hope, and round the Horn, and round the Norway Maelstrom, and round perdition’s flames before I give him up!
