Who does NOT have classified documents? Anyone?

At the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, non of us are in top government positions and required to take "red boxes" home to manage a very much NOT 9-5 in the office workload.
I'd be very surprised if their are not old classified docs and files mixed up in home office filing cabinets of ex elected officials all over the world.

The difference with Trump is also bleeding obvious.
He appears to have loaded up boxes of documents to intentionally browse through after he was President and no longer authorised to do so.

Clearly oversights happen, even to people not attempting to destroy a republic. They happen much more often to a government whose default is to classify anything They don’t want the citizens to know, even if other world powers affected are already aware. We just gave a medal to a fighter pilot for an unsanctioned Cold War dogfight in the 1950s. For half a century Russia knew about it, but not his wife.

I’ve argued for years a democracy is as weakened by secrets as a relationship. All classified papers not relating to nukes or a weapon still in service should automatically be opened to internet searches after 20 years. Exceptions should be an active process requiring signatures of approval every couple years, making it hard for our leaders to hide their dirty laundry.

And no. The important people shouldnt be forgiven for things that would put their clerks in jail. Biden should face impeachment, Trump and Pence should face jail and automatic loss government benefits.

My dogs don't. Anyone else not have them? My cat looks suspicious, God knows what is in the back of the litterbox
Depends on what you mean by "Classified"? I think the term gets thrown around too loosely and no one really knows what they means. A doc can be "classified" as FOUO, CUI, Unclassified but not for public distribution - as well as SEKRIT, TS, TS/SCI, TS-Codeword, etc etc.

The question you and the press should really be asking is what is the
"LEVEL" of classification. That makes a Yuge difference to the conversation. Shitstain had actual SEKRIT, TS/SCI and TS Nuke shit in his shitter. I doubt that anything Biden had was even close to that. Apples to orangutans.

My assumption is Trump took them home so he could ask Melania to help with the big words at a time when they were on speaking terms.

A big deal is protecting the foreigners who help us, so the standard us usually about 50 years, but not automatically. Some countries take vengeance on the families of spies.

Not to mention that docs exist which bear classification markings but are no longer classified. Yeah, the removal of classification notations are supposed be on it but that doesn't always happen. This is something the cops-in-the-field can not assess so the standing order is seize and report.

yes, thats why nothing is 'comparable' until the specifics are known. Joey probably has the battle plans for the invasion on Normandy he said he helped plan.

You really are a pathetic little man.
while he was attending Mass and Temple on Saturday, and the 'Black' church on Sunday, after graduating in the top of his law school class, after part time truck driving, speaking and giving awards with his dead relatives, abandoning his grandchild, fucking a married woman, getting arrested in the Civil Rights movement, etc.

I’d be ok with redacting the names of non government officials for half a century. Our own government employees and elected leaders should have their names and actions exposed to daylight while they are still alive to face their grandchildren. Unfortunately that’s hard when we elect geezers.
