Interesting looking boat, might need an extra reef sailing out of Auckland. There's a couple of similar boat here that look like they came from the same Mini T school of thought. To my untrained eyes the bulbous front wont like upwind in chop but turn the corner and it should be one hell of a ride.

from the sales pitch

This boat is not only fast, it's a concept for short hand sailing at low cost. Easy trailable with a fully retractable keel and rudder, the mast can be stepped by 1 person and the AP 30 is ramp launchable, maintenance will be low and there is a lot more to keep running cost at a minimum, this enables you to concentrate on what brings success, training and racing.

The first Aeolos P30 will be available for trial sails shortly in Dubai, 4 boats have already been sold and production is ramping up.
Advertised price is for the first imported boat only.

L 9,04m - W 2,91m - 1550 kg empty.
50% Ballast ratio with 800kg in the bulb - Draft: 2,3m

Just slightly lighter, a little wider (+7 cm), and same amount of ballast (but lower) as an Olson 30 designed 40 years ago.  fast is fun George was ahead of his time :D

The next five. Every step is now trained and got a record in the production management system. Highly motivated boat builders put the "odd" construction site into perspective ;-)

How do you get the hull out of the bottom mould - does it come apart or do you have to slide it out backwards?
Look closely, those molds will split in the middle.

@Hans Genthe"Odd" referred to the UAE and the consequences for shipping costs of it (hey, maybe even better than shipping EU to Asia), not the actual construction site. That is probably cleaner than most small European yards.
