I’m considering replacing my wind system with wireless. I’ concerned it will not work because of the carbon. Anyones experience would be most welcome.

Shouldn't be an issue. I've used MicroNet (Raymarine now) with carbon mast, sails, boats, going back over well over a decade. Hasn't been an issue. Is this the new F22R on the SF Bay?

Thanks! I’ve heard of people with problems with tictac, or whatever it is called, after buying a carbon main.

No, my boat is in the Oslo fjord, Norway, but hoping to visit SF soon, as my sister lives there. Hard to bring the boat, though

I use the Raymarine wireless MHU on the J35. When I was swapping out my B&G stuff for all new Raymarine gear on our Mills43, the question is, would the wireless MHU would be read by the wireless Readouts?

the first photo is for reference.

I hoisted the Wireless MHU up the Carbon mast on the 43 and the readouts on the J35 read the MHU just fine.

but when I brought a wireless readout on to the 43, it crapped out.

so height wise, it worked. Just not on a Carbon mast.

in the second photo, you can see that Wireless Readouts will work even around Carbon Mast and Booms. Reason is the MicroTalk unit at the stern is not that far from the readouts.
